A Manchester youth centre was being updated to provide better access and facilities for disabled visitors. Invalifts was consulted in respect of the practicalities of installing a platform lift externally with each of the 2 landing doors being internal to the building.
Invalifts suggested the MC2000 platform lift in a weatherproof external enclosure. The microrib panels of the enclosure were coloured in order to blend the structure with the existing brickwork. The doors at each landing were fitted with wall mounted call buttons and automatic openers to aid the entrance and exit from the lift itself.
