Invalifts Limited the Atherstone based supplier and installer of disabled access lifts has gained accreditation to one of the most prestigious building programmes in the country. The Building Confidence scheme administered by Achilles was instigated by some of the larger companies in the building sector in order to create a supply chain that consisted of likeminded companies that had suitable safeguards and procedures towards quality, health and safety and the environment.
Under the Building Confidence system, businesses undergo a vetting process, which examines health and safety, quality, environmental, equal opportunities and administration procedures. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered members such as Balfour Beatty, Kier, Shepherd Construction and Costain to name a few.
To become accredited, Achilles undertook a full audit of the systems and procedures that Invalifts have, from the manner in which the company recruits individuals to the onsite procedures. Building Confidence accreditation is expected to enhance the company`s ability to attract new contracts and its commitment to safety and quality will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is due for renewal.
