Invalift performs to the highest level for the Olympics
The 2012 Olympic Games were an amazing, once-in-a-generation event which brought together the whole country. We celebrated not only the amazing sporting achievement of our athletes, but also the fantastic team which helped make the whole Games run so smoothly.
Invalifts were able to play their own part in this event, with a request that was unprecedented in the history of the company; to supply and install a lift at the ITN Olympic Studio for just 8 weeks and then to remove it again.
The client, Media Structures, were impressed with the technical support Invalifts offered at the design stage, and the fact that Invalifts were able to meet a very tight delivery schedule for the Olympics. This helped make it an easy decision for them to choose Invalifts for the lift installation.
An MC2000 Platform Lift was chosen for an external installation on the roof of a multi-storey car park overlooking the Olympic Park. The lift performed flawlessly throughout the Olympics, and was removed again by Invalifts at the end of the eight week event.
Geoff Tyler of Media Structures was very pleased with Invalifts and had these comments. “We chose Invalifts as it was recommended by our client and it represented reasonable value for this unusual outdoor temporary application. The site installation team were very flexible and managed to overcome a few logistical and technical issues without too much of a problem. We’d certainly consider using Invalifts again if the need arose.”
